Best Childcare Centre in North, Singapore

Woodlands is the commercial heart of North and concentrates most of the zone's established childcare centres, from government Partner Operator (POP) schemes to boutique Reggio Emilia-style options.

Quick answer

Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Civic Centre is the strongest pick for most North Singapore families needing subsidised, POP-scheme childcare near Woodlands MRT. Families wanting a Reggio Emilia-influenced, smaller-scale approach should look at Bucket House Preschool.

How we picked

We verified each centre's current address, fees and programme details directly from its operator website or a recent, address-confirmed directory listing, rather than relying on outdated chain rosters. We prioritised centres with transparent, current fee information over those we couldn't independently confirm.

Best Childcare Centre — Ranked Picks

All four verified centres are in Woodlands proper. We didn't find enough independently verifiable, currently-operating childcare centres in Sembawang, Yishun or Admiralty specifically to include them in this round — we'll expand as we verify more.

FAQ

What is a POP (Partner Operator) preschool?

POP centres, like Kinderland @ Woodlands Civic Centre, receive government funding from Singapore's Early Childhood Development Agency in exchange for meeting quality standards and fee caps — this generally makes them more affordable than fully private centres.

Based on the centres we verified, full-day childcare fees range from roughly S$650/month at Little Footprints to over S$2,000/month at some private centres like MindChamps, before subsidies. POP centres like Kinderland cap fees lower after basic subsidy.

Yes — major chains including My First Skool and PCF Sparkletots operate branches across the North zone, but we're only listing centres we could independently verify as currently operating with confirmed details; check back as we expand this list.
